Hello everyone,
Some of you might already know that I got sick with COVID around a month ago. It happened the weekend when we were about to start Spring Break at work, so I got to spend it LITERALLY writhing in pain in my whole body, with nausea, fever, cough, shortness of breath and a pain in my chest after trying to ride it it out at home for a week with ibuprofen and home remedies. I ended up being hospitalized for a week and turns out not only did I have a "very significant" COVID pneumonia as the doctors said, but this lovely thing (totally sarcastic btw) also created 2 clots in my lungs. So I got put on blood thinners for the clots and have to take it for a few months  and got multiple breathing treatments since it was super difficult to take the 6 steps I needed to get from the hospital bed to the bathroom and i would start wheezing. Long story short, when I was discharged i was referred to 3 different specialists which all send me more and more  meds and ordered more and more tests, eating up the little savings i had finally been able to start and max out my credit cards. And all of this was on top all the money my siblings spent in buying me meds and food and vitamins when I was home. Unfortunately, after 5 days at home, i was getting antsy because I was missing work. But those of you who know me, know how much anxiety  i felt being limited in the work i could do from home. So on April 2nd, I literally walked down the 3 flights of stairs from my apartment, to the car (which took way long, having to stop to catch my breath) but I drove to CVS to get tested and didn't even get out the car (it came out negative now thank God), but after that i immediately went back home. Took like 30 minutes going upstairs to the apartment cus I had to keep sitting down to catch my breath. Long story short, that night I was in excruciating pain in my knees and ankles and couldn't even get off the bed without screaming in pain. So 2 days later, i couldn't take the pain anymore and I went to an Urgent Care and got some pain meds, but those only minimized the pain. So my PCP sent me an ointment that saved my life and stronger pain meds and finally stopped the pain, but added another specialist to the list. In total, I've gotten ct-scans, x-rays, a sleep study, a heart monitor for 24hrs, a heart sonogram, a blood thinner, a pill for the cough, and a stronger liquid version so i could sleep some, a pill for my heart, a nebulizer and THREE different inhalers. And this is all on top of my anxiety and depression meds
Anyways, I'm now not in pain but still get short of breath after a few steps or talking but still have follow ups and according to the doctors, about 3 months of this before I can start "getting" back to normal.
So I'm sharing all this with you guys because you know I've always been very independent and don't know how to ask for help, and my social anxiety makes me feel so awkward doing this but I really need some help now and I'm running out of options.
So, for my birthday next week, if you could donate something instead of a gift, even if it's $1, it would be so wonderfully appreciated  and a blessing. Anyways, if you can please spare a dollar or two,  it would really go a long way and i will be forever grateful!!
