Help Eliana Parod Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Two weeks after the exciting benchmark of starting kindergarten, Eliana Parod and her family received the devastating news that she has Neuroblastoma cancer. The discovery was made after a visit to the doctor about belly pain and from there Eliana was sent to the hospital where she remained for 2 weeks due to the discovery of the malignant tumor in her abdomen.
Instead of days filled with learning the alphabet, taking turns at play centers, and running around on the playground, Eliana’s days are now revolving around endless hospital visits, blood draws, chemo therapies, pain, and all things that no kindergartner should have to experience.
It’s been an imaginable turn of events for Eliana who just celebrated her 6th birthday this October.
As a close friend of Corrie’s (Eliana’s mom), I urge you all to help ease the financial strain of unexpected medical bills and time needed off of work to be with Eliana. The wish is for Chris and Corrie Parod to focus their full attention on being there for Eliana as she fights this awful disease.
The treatment plan is estimated to be a year and a half journey with numerous rounds of chemotherapy, possible radiation, a bone marrow transplant, and a surgery to remove the tumor in her abdomen once is can be reduced in size. Mainly, Chris will continue to work with Corrie handling a lot of the day to day healing with Eliana in the hospital and at home.
Out of pocket costs for the duration of the treatment are estimated to be around $8,000 to $12,000 plus time needed off work for Chris to be with Eliana when he can. Unexpected costs will surely present themselves as well.
Any and all contributions are welcomed and appreciated. If you prefer to donate offline, please email at [email redacted] for further information.
Chris and Corrie’s most heartfelt wish is that all continue to PRAY for Eliana’s recovery. They know prayer is powerful and that nothing is impossible with God.
Specific prayer requests currently are to pray for:
-No hearing loss or heart problems, a possible side effect from chemo rounds 3-5
-No added sickness/infections during these months of treatment
-Least amount of side effects from treatment
-Tumor shrinks down to nothing by next scan
-Will not need to continue with high-risk treatment
A sincere “THANK YOU” from the Parod family.
Thank you to all who have shown love and support to Eliana. She is a fierce and sweet little girl, and together we can help her beat this cancer.
