Eli has always found comfort in his own world. He isn’t naturally adventurous or eager to step outside of his routine, which is why the opportunity to travel with his classmates to New York City and Washington, D.C. for Spring Break 2027 is so significant. This isn’t just a school trip—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Eli to grow in ways we can’t easily recreate at home.
This experience represents a major milestone! It’s an opportunity for him to build confidence, gain independence, and engage with the world beyond his comfort zone. For Eli, taking this step is a really big deal—and we want to support him in every way we can.
The reality, however, is that the cost of traveling across the country adds up quickly. Between the program fee and basic travel needs like luggage, clothing, and supplies, it’s a significant financial commitment. This trip would allow Eli to experience not just one, but two of the most important cities in our country—something he may not have the chance to do again.
Visiting Washington, D.C. is especially meaningful as he moves closer to high school, where U.S. History becomes a central focus. For neurodivergent kids like Eli, being able to connect what they learn in the classroom to real-life experiences can be incredibly impactful in a way that textbooks alone simply aren’t.
We are asking for help because making this happen on our own is challenging—but we believe deeply in what this opportunity could mean for Eli. Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, would mean more to our family than we can adequately express. Truly, it takes a village, and we are incredibly grateful for any and all support in helping make this possible for him.
