Support a Nursing Student After a Series of Tragedies

Right now, I’m asking for help so someone deeply important to me doesn’t have to give up on the future she has worked so hard to build. Elexia is a dedicated nursing student with just a little over a year left before becoming a nurse. Her tuition is due January 4, and without immediate support, she may not be able to stay enrolled.

I have known Elexia since I was 13 years old, and throughout our lives, she has consistently been a source of light - someone who uplifts others, leads with compassion, and shows up for people even while she is carrying a lot. Through moments of profound personal hardship, her warmth, integrity, and generosity remain unchanged.

Right now, she is the one that needs support.

Why Your Support Matters
  • Elexia spent her cash reserves on funeral expenses due to the unexpected loss of her grandparents.
  • She is excelling in nursing school and on track to graduate in April 2027
  • Tuition is due January 4 and immediate assistance is critical
  • All funds are used solely for tuition and school-related expenses
  • Your support helps her remain focused, enrolled, and emotionally present

Elexia is a full-time nursing student performing strongly in her coursework while also helping her family operate a small wellness boutique in Temescal, Oakland, The Sag3. The boutique is the sole source of income for not only her but also her mother and sister. While deeply meaningful and community-centered, it is, as with most small businesses, NOT lucrative.

Over the past few months, Elexia has faced significant hardship. In November, she lost both grandparents in the same month, an emotional and financial loss that deeply impacted her family. Shortly after, her car was stolen and later recovered but completely totaled, disrupting her ability to commute reliably to school and work.

Despite everything, she shows up to class. She supports her family. She continues to serve her community. What she doesn’t have right now is room to absorb another blow alone.

That’s where we come in.
