$1,500 by Dec 31, 2025: Donate to COPE Collective to assist us in reaching nonprofit status!

COPE Collective (Composer-Performer Collective) is a select roster of 35 composer-performers and creative professionals working together to create new works without the usual financial, creative, and time-based limitations of the industry. Our model is simple but powerful: we run on a collaborative labor exchange, where performer-composers bring each other’s works to life in a reciprocal process, sharing our unique skills and resources with each other. This structure allows us to circumvent most of the traditional costs faced by new music ensembles, such as performer fees, commission costs, and venue rentals.

To launch our first full concert season, we’re raising $1,500 by the end of 2025 to cover the few essential start-up costs that can’t be met through this exchange process - with our top priority being establishing ourselves as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Nonprofit status will unlock long-term sustainability for our collective, strengthening our mission to create equity in the industry and foster community in the contemporary music scene. Additional funds will go toward basic tools like website hosting which will help us present our work to a wider audience.
