Yesterday was a heart-wrenching day for our team and elephants. We were forced to leave our rented land, with no warning and no time to prepare due to fear of a wild elephant who was entering the village for few days. The villagers pressured us to move in the dead of night, with a decision to relocate us to an unsafe, remote area in the jungle—no electricity, no proper facilities, and the threat of wild animals like tigers looms over our babies.

Shifting 8 elephants, including vulnerable calves, was no easy task. Now, our elephants are scattered across four different sites in Sauraha, with limited space, and many of them chained up without adequate shelter. Our hardworking mahouts (elephant caretakers) are also struggling with inadequate living conditions, with winter right around the corner.

This is not how we envisioned caring for these magnificent animals. We need your support now more than ever to ensure that we can provide them with a safe, stable environment. Your support can make this possible and help us give these majestic animals the home they need.
