Help Elena Medically Transition

Hi, my name is Elena and I am a transgender woman living in Mexico. I am starting this fundraiser to help cover my relocation to Mexico City as well as hormone replacement therapy, gender-affirming surgeries, and legal procedures to change my name and gender marker on government identification.
I recently moved back to Mexico after living in the United States as an undocumented immigrant my entire life. I spent the last 3 years attending and finishing college, which gave me the opportunity to live and present as a transfeminine person while also having a support group. Because of my undocumented status, I had no choice but to leave the US after completing college, as I would be unable to legally work or change my government identification to reflect my gender.
Unfortunately, Mexico is not as accepting of trans people as the US is, with the only safe place to be openly trans being Mexico City. My home state of Veracruz (where I’m currently living) has the highest trans femicide cases in the country. Just last year, a trans woman was decapitated and placed outside a town hall. Because of this, I am not out to my family and fear coming out until I am in a different state. I’ve spent the past four months looking for employment in Mexico City but have had trouble finding any due to employers being skeptical of my US degree and my lack of experience, so this fundraiser is my last choice.
Moving to Mexico City is the only way I can begin my medical transition and start living as a woman again. I have been severely depressed since leaving the US because I’ve left everything behind, from my only support group to things such as clothes and wigs, which help immensely with my gender dysphoria.
Please donate if you’re able to and share this as much as you can. Anything helps. Medically transitioning and seeking out lawyers for these processes is very expensive and I need as much support as I can get.
My friend is organizing this for me because GFM/Venmo/Cashapp are unavailable in Mexico so this is the only way to donate.
