Help Elena Crush Cancer

Hi, my name is Amber and I'm reaching out to raise funds for Elena Fasan, a dear friend and an extraordinary person, who is facing a battle with breast cancer.  The goal of this fundraiser is to give her the financial support she needs for her treatment, so that she can focus her energy on her health and crush this cancer diagnosis.

 

As many of you know, Elena was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2021. After a lumpectomy, lymph node biopsy and genetic testing, Elena learned that she has a rare, highly aggressive form of cancer that has a significant chance of reoccurrence if left untreated. She is now embarking on 4 rounds of chemotherapy followed by 20 rounds of radiation and hormone therapy.  

 

Elena feels grateful to have health insurance. However, over the last few months of diagnosis and treatment, she has incurred out-of-pocket costs that her health insurance does not cover, totaling approximately $2,000/month. These costs are already causing her considerable stress and they are likely to continue or increase as she proceeds with treatment.

 

Elena is single, she is coordinating all her medical care and treatment on her own and she is completely reliant on her own income. It is likely that she'll face periods when she is unable to work during her treatment journey.

 

We are hoping to raise $16,000 (+ $500 for credit card fees). This amount will help cover her out-of-pocket medical expenses -- $2,000 for each of the 8 months of her treatment journey. Elena has offered so many of us love and support when we needed it most. Let's come together to do the same for her!  Anything you can give will help and will be deeply appreciated.
