Help elect Eoghan for Dublin North Inner City

I'm proud to say I have been selected to be the People Before Profit candidate in Dublin North Inner City in next year's local elections.

I am a musician, a Psychology graduate and a socialist activist. I have been involved in political activism for almost 10 years now, in campaigns around housing, workers' rights, the climate and biodiversity crisis, cultural space, healthcare, anti-racism, women's rights and LGBT+ rights.

I am running for election because I am fed up of seeing people around me struggle with exorbitant rents, with the threat of eviction, with no possibility of ever owning a home. 

I am deeply worried about the climate and biodiversity crisis and our Government's policies around it, which punish ordinary people, let major polluters off the hook, and come nowhere close to what we need to actually tackle the crisis.

I also want to see a community where people can thrive and explore their own creativity. I am very concerned with the loss of cultural space in the city and the lack of working class access to creative outlets.

I think we need a strong challenge to the Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael parties that have run the country for the last 100 years, often propped up by smaller parties. People Before Profit are the only party who guarantee we will not enter into coalition with either of these parties.

Instead, we need to build on a grassroots basis to empower ordinary people and fight for real, radical change. I want to give a voice to that fightback at local council.

If elected to the council:

● I WILL fight to use public land to build public housing – not hand it over to private developers.

● I WILL fight to take our Public services back into Public ownership – Housing, water, bins. We need to reverse privatisation.

● I WILL NOT support Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil on the council.

● I WILL NOT support the selloff of public services and land.

People Before Profit is not a big, establishment party. We don’t have millionaire backers. My campaign will be run completely on the hard work of local activists with the help of your donations.

What will my donation be used for?

This GoFundME will be used to fund my election campaign. It will go to pay for the day-to-day things like leaflets, posters and zip-ties, and banners.
