My name is Mohammed Abubakar and I’m standing in the Kirklees local election for one simple reason, Huddersfield deserves better.
For years, I’ve been working on the ground in our community. Not for votes, not for recognition, but because I genuinely care. Whether it’s supporting families in need, setting up initiatives to tackle poverty, working with young people, or bringing people together, my track record speaks for itself. This isn’t new to me, it’s what I’ve been doing for years. Now, I’m taking that same commitment into local politics.
But here’s the reality.
Independent candidates like myself don’t have big party machines behind us. There’s no central funding, no national campaign team, no large budgets. Everything we do, from leaflets to posters to reaching residents, relies on the support of people who believe in what we’re trying to build. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
- If you believe in putting community before politics…
- If you’re tired of the same parties and the same results…
- If you want someone who will genuinely fight for the people, not a party line…
Then please consider donating to my campaign.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference. It helps us reach more people, share a different message, and give our community a genuine independent voice. This campaign isn’t backed by a party. It’s powered by people.
If you can support, please donate today and be part of something different.
