At 20 weeks pregnant Brandon and I received heart breaking news. Our daughter, Eleanor, was diagnosed with congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM). CPAM is an extremely rare benign lung tumor that occurs when tissue in the lung doesn’t develop properly during pregnancy. We have watched her mass since her diagnosis with ultrasounds, X-rays and CAT scans. Eleanor’s 1 year CAT scan unfortunately showed the mass has grown and multiplied significantly since her 6 month scans. Her surgeon wants to remove her entire left lower lobe of her lung on August 21. This only giving our tiny family 3 months to raise money for not only the surgery but also the recovery, time off work, hotel stays & medications.
