Hi, my name is Eleanor Lucas. I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Moriarty New Mexico.
Singing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family always says I was singing before I could even talk. When I was 4, I joined a homeschool choir, and over time it really became my second home. Now I have the honor of being the president of that choir, and I truly love every day I get to spend making music with people I care about.
Recently, I’ve been given two opportunities that honestly still feel unreal to me. I’m part of the Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera, and through this group, I’ve been invited to go to New York in May 2026 to perform Vivaldi’s Gloria at Carnegie Hall… something I’ve dreamed about for years.
I was also accepted into the National Youth Opera Academy, which means I get to keep learning and growing in what I love most.
It really feels like doors are starting to open for me… and I’m so grateful for that.
But I also know I can’t walk through them alone.
These opportunities come with costs that my family and I can’t fully cover, including travel, tuition, and participation fees. So I’m reaching out for help.
I wouldn’t be here without my parents, my teachers, my friends, and the people I sing with—and most importantly, God—who have supported me and encouraged me every step of the way. They’ve helped shape not just my voice, but who I am as a person.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would mean so much to me. And if you can’t, sharing this would truly help more than you know.
Every bit of support brings me closer to these opportunities that help build my future.
With love and gratitude,
Eleanor
