Eleanor needs surgery!

I found Eleanor on Craigslist in 2016 and saw that she was in terrible condition. I didn't realize how bad it was until after the previous owner left and I had a chance to examine her more carefully. She was covered in ticks, fleas, had an open wound on her hind leg and poorly cropped ears. After going to the vet several times in the first two weeks, we found that she wasn't spayed, had ear/skin/yeast infections, suffered from giardia and tapeworms, and the open wound was from an embedded foxtail. It took a couple of months to get her healthy but she never once showed she was in pain. She is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. 
Shortly after meeting my husband and his dog at the local dog park, we became a family and Eleanor got a full time playmate, Quincy! They absolutely love each other and are inseparable. Both are about the same age, 3 years old, and are each others best friend. Quincy is so protective over her and stays by her side when she's sad.
In October 2018, she had a partial tear in her CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) and we did everything recommended to help her heal. It would get better for a short time and then she would reinjure herself. It's now become a full tear and TPLO surgery is the only way to protect it from reinjury and lessen the affects of arthritis. She hasn't been able to go to the dog park or enjoy long walks since its happened and you can tell its taken it's toll on her mentally. I take her to work when I can and have someone visit her on our busy days so that she is mentally stimulated throughout the day. Surgery will be they only way we can prevent further damage and get her back to running after the ball. She currently walks with a pronounced limp and is constantly in pain.
We are finding it difficult to afford the surgery because our cat just had surgery in January to remove a tumor that was quickly growing. We are doing the best we can to come up with the money but it's come to the point where we have to ask our friends and family for help. Any amount will help Eleanor get a new leash on life.
