Our sweet Eleanor needs help
Many of you have been following Eleanor’s journey, and your love and support over the past months have meant the world. For those just joining, Eleanor has Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a condition that makes her bones extremely fragile. Even everyday movements can cause fractures.
The last few months have been especially hard. Eleanor has had multiple breaks, including her ribs and her arm. We’ve done everything possible at home to manage her pain, but we’ve reached a point where she needs specialized, multidisciplinary care that our state clinics cannot fully provide.
We are so thankful to share that we’ve secured an appointment at an OI specialty clinic in Atlanta next week. This is a huge step toward the care she needs and gives us hope for a better plan for her comfort and health. We also plan to travel to another specialized clinic in Omaha for a comprehensive evaluation to guide her long-term care.
With Eleanor’s condition, this will likely mean:
• Multiple trips for follow-ups
• Ongoing specialist care
• Travel, food, and lodging expenses
• Time off work for Stewart
• Caring for our other children while we are away
We are starting this fundraiser with a goal of $5,000 to help cover immediate travel and initial medical expenses, knowing this may need to be adjusted as we receive more detailed estimates.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring Eleanor closer to comfort and expert care. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping her in your thoughts and prayers is just as powerful.
This has been one of the hardest seasons of our lives, but with your help, we can make sure Eleanor has the care she deserves. Thank you for loving our girl and standing with our family
