Help Eldon Kick Cancers @$$

Eldon Jackson, Jr has (Early T-Cell Precursor) ETP-ALL ...a rare form of leukemia that is difficult, but not impossible to treat. He was diagnosed after feeling like he had pneumonia and went to TR ER on June 24th with a 103 fever.  After looking at his lab work and symptoms, they promptly made arrangements for him to be transferred to U of M and he's been there since,  and of course, Linda has not left his side since that life changing day.

This stubborn leukemia is not going by the medical textbooks  ~ plan "A"  and "B"  didn't  perform the way the medical team thought they should.  So now we're half way through plan "C" and feeling positive this one will get the job done.  His white blood cell count is (and has been) down below 1, making him very susceptible to infection along with risks of other serious side effects from 7 weeks of intensive chemo.  This buys him a few more weeks in the  University Hospital and Linda at a nearby hotel suite.

Right now he's feeling fair....a little blue from ~ well the whole situation!  But not defeated, he continues to have a positive attitude and smiles easily.    He's got some significant vertigo and generally feeling tired.  He's been getting blood and platelets pretty much every other day for the past 7 weeks. (here's where we plug for the local Blood Bank ~  please consider donating) His appetite goes up and down, but he'll always say yes to ice cream shakes.  The doctors are impressed with his 71 year young body's ability to handle the therapies without serious complications...he's not just another pretty face, he's hearty inside too.

The doctors are planning and moving forward with talks of BMT~ bone marrow transplant (luckily he matched 17 from the current donor bank) which will be the saving grace but not without risks and a long recovery as well.

Many friends and family members have approached us about wanting to help but are at a loss on how.  A couple of dear friends suggested that we open this account as a way for friends and family to show support and assistance for Linda and Eldon on this healing journey.  The money collected will be used for her continued stay in Ann Arbor,  anticipated future inpatient trips and medication/infusions that aren't  covered by insurance during the BMT recovery phase.

He could use lots of love and prayers ✝️ and positivity ☮️ right now! The entire family appreciates the encouragement and support you’ve all offered….THANK YOU!
