Help elder Black Power & Women’s Liberation freedom fighter

Donation protected
Support is needed for an elder freedom fighter for Black Power and Women’s Liberation in Gainesville, Florida.

Janice Harvey Faison joined the Uhuru movement in its founding years when it grew out of the Junta of Militant Organizations (JOMO) in Florida.

A teenager when she started organizing, Janice’s talents and militancy made her an early target of Cointelpro, the FBI’s notorious program to smash the movements of the 1960s. Trailed by the cops and jailed for 5 years in Lowell Correctional Institution, Florida’s dungeon for women, she came out of prison undaunted. She has continued to organize for freedom and justice for the last half century focusing on survivors of domestic violence.

Sister Janice is a now 73, and in frail health after open heart surgery to re-move remaining fragments of police bullets lodged in her heart for all this time. Unbeknownst to her, her husband turned out to be a police agent and he tried to murder her.

We need to raise $3000 for medical related necessities as soon as we can. Please treat Janice Harvey Faison as a deserving elder family member who has helped to make life easier for you, me, and for everyone.
