Elda Medina escaped with her two girls, ages 3 and 11, on the night of September 8th from the Almeda firestorm in south Medford, Oregon. But, she lost her house and all her and her girls' belongings. She had just purchased the single wide a month ago and had no insurance. This loss is compounded on the recent loss of 2 of her aunts and 1 uncle from COVID in Mexico.
Elda started working with me in the Spring as a medical assistant. Her humbleness, love, and concern for others have impressed many. Starting and supporting a GoFundMe account is the least I can do to help with her loss and return some of the kindness she has shown to our patients and everyone she meets.
Simple financial support would be most helpful, as material goods are being supplied by a local network of friends. The money would be used to help replace and upgrade her single wide. Any contribution is appreciated. Your contribution will not only help her financially, but also emotionally, in knowing there is a wider community of support. We are all in this together.
Thank you for your support!
