Help elbdms pay for her knee surgery!

TL,DR: Denise needs $3700 to pay for an Anterior Crusciate Ligament reconstruction surgery on her left knee.

You may know me from my artworks, pencil drawings, ink paintings, sculptures, doing incredibly shitty music covers, or from my videos goofing out with my dog Apollo.

A little less known fact is that I am also a living weapon, a killing machine, an international menace, a force to be reckoned with!

Well, at least I was until I busted my knee fighting (but you shoulda seen the other guy!).

Ok so I never was any of those things. To be perfectly honest I am more like a slightly aggressive 5 ft. tall little latin woman who really wouldn't hurt a fly. But I was trying okay?

Anyway, yeah. I am a purple-belt brazilian jiujitsu fighter, and a couple weeks ago I tore my ACL on my left knee and I have been unable to walk. Since it turns out legs are not as superfluous as I previously believed, I sought to find medical help asap.

I don't have medical insurance as I work as an independent artist and a freelance dev.

Naturally the options were not great, but I opted to do things in the good old American way, which was to go into debt, because yeah it turns out legs are very important indeed.

So I borrowed the money and did the surgery on 12/08. The post-op was so painful that it almost made me change my mind on the importance of legs once again, but I'm now recovering from it and getting better every day.

But now I need YOU *points* (damn once you start doing the american way, it really grows on you).

Thankfully, as I am living in Brazil, the cost of the surgery was just a fraction of what it would have been in the US, which I have researched to range between $20,000K-$9,000K.

My surgery cost just under R$18,000, which is only about $3,700.
