We’re reaching out to support our friend Elaine, a hardworking freelance tattoo artist, who ran into a rough patch while traveling from California to Oregon for work. During a quick stop at a rest area near Truckee, her purse was stolen — including her car keys, cash, and all her bank cards.

What was meant to be a routine drive has turned into several unexpected days stuck, towed to Lodi, waiting on a locksmith and trying to navigate this mess without access to her finances. Being freelance means if she’s not working, she’s not earning — and this delay has added real stress to her already tight budget.

We’re pulling together an emergency fund to help cover:

• Basic daily expenses while she’s stranded

• Travel costs to get back to Oregon safely

• A bit of breathing room so she can get back to tattooing and regaining her stability
