A few words from Renee Jacobs

 

My sister-in-law, Lena Jacobs, is working desperately to help her daughter, grandson, and mother escape from the Ukraine war. Events are moving quite rapidly, as one can only imagine having to leave your home. Olena had to make the difficult decision to flee with her son and grandmother. Making this decision, Olena has had to part with her husband Sasha as he stays to help his country. They fled to Poland with a little more than the clothes on their back. They are currently trying to process the paperwork to come to the United States to be with Olenas mother, Lena. Damir, her one-year-old son, needs a passport to fly to the United States.

 

 

We would appreciate any donations you can make. Our first goal is to get the family airline tickets to come to the United States. Our second goal is to get them situated when they arrive. Their needs will include clothing, food, baby essentials, and other basic necessities. The financial costs of this are significant and unforeseen. I know Olena and her family will greatly appreciate any help. In addition, Sasha will feel a sense of comfort knowing his wife and child will be out of harm's way and with extended family.  All donations will go to Olena and her family.I will update this page with details as more become available.
