Natayo came into my (Ekoo’s) life at a time when I really needed him and he really needed me, in August 2022 when he was two years old. After a few blissful years Natayo was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in October 2024, a genetic condition that some cats can live with forever and some cannot. He was diagnosed via echocardiogram and we planned to have his heart checked every six months. While the echocardiogram is between $800-1,000 each it did not feel like a burden at the time.

On April 7 2025 while driving back to Montana Natayo went through congestive heart failure and had to be hospitalized for 24 hours in Billings Montana. He was stabilized and given medications and given a year to live. The bill was over $2,500. As soon as he got home we went to the cardiologist and got another 1k echocardiogram. He returned to his usual chipper self and continue to play, get the zoomies, run around for the next month, all until today

on May 15, 2025 he was again emergency hospitalized. Unfortunately the vet that he is at now is much more expensive than his last, and the lowest end estimation for his stay for the next 24/hrs is $3,600.

Overall the past month has cost us over $7,000 with his medical bills. I am an empath and this cat is truly my baby and most loved creature. I hate to ask for money but made this go fund me in case anyone is interested in supporting Natayo as he nears his end of life. If he makes it out of the hospital he will still have a short life left with many tests and fingers crossed an at home euthanasia if we are able to get ahead of things. He was given up to twelve months to live in April, with a lot of unknowns inbetween.
