Faith and Marcus’s dog, Eko, has been a beloved part of their family for over a decade. Eko’s story began when Faith went to adopt a pet, hoping to bring home Eko’s sister. As luck would have it, Eko’s sister was already spoken for, but the foster offered Faith another dog: Eko. Though her pictures were a little offputting, Eko was sweet from the very beginning, and it felt like everything fell into place. Since that day, Eko has been Faith’s best friend, and Faith has been hers.

Recently, Eko was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive cancer of the heart. Thankfully, there is currently no sign of the cancer spreading, which makes Eko an excellent candidate for both surgery and chemotherapy. The hope is that with treatment, Eko can enjoy more time with the people who love her most.

The costs for Eko’s care are significant. Faith and Marcus have already received a grant to help, but they still need support to cover the remaining expenses for her surgery and chemotherapy. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Eko’s medical bills, giving her the best chance at recovery and more happy years with her family.
