Hello! My name is Cathie and on June 21, the Summer Solstice, my father and best friend died suddenly and unexpectedly. The incredible efforts of emergency services teams were unable to save him. In that moment my world changed forever.

Since then, every minute has been consumed with dealing with the estate and mounting legal, funeral and other costs. Add to it, the property management company of the apartment we shared for 20 years has given me until July 21, 2023 to pack everything up and move out. Already overwhelmed and exhausted I have to put everything into storage and try and find a new apartment, or even a temporary residence for myself and the 3 cats.

I am also unable to work during this time.

Funds will be used to cover legal, funeral and relocation costs. This will help me to have a respectful and proper celebration of life for my father, look after my father's estate properly, and start to rebuild my life in a new location.

For this week of July 17, 2023, the most critical funds to be used are for storage and moving items into storage and temporary housing. I have to be out of the unit by the 21st of July as the building is advising they are changing the locks on July 22 and I will no longer have access to the unit and anything in it.
