On November 5, 2025, a fire severely damaged Eileen Santana’s rental home in Holiday, FL 34691, leaving it unlivable due to smoke and soot. According to the fire report, the fire originated from a computer that exploded, completely destroying her grandson’s room and leaving nothing behind.
Eileen has lived in this home for 12 years, and she has lost almost all of her belongings. Cleaning companies have estimated that the cleanup alone will cost over $16,000, not including gutting her grandson’s room or replacing the HVAC. In order for the cleanup to even start, the house needs to be emptied, which includes renting a dumpster at an estimated cost of $450. The family is now trying to salvage what personal items they can and come to terms with the sentimental items they’ve lost—items with priceless memories.
Adding to this hardship, the property management is holding Eileen responsible for the costs because she did not have renter’s insurance. She has contacted the manufacturer and retailer and is waiting for an adjuster to assess the damages and determine liability, but no one has gotten back to her.
Eileen is also facing health challenge: she cannot return to the home due to her COPD. The lingering smoke and soot make it unsafe for her to even enter, adding another layer of difficulty to an already overwhelming situation. She is exhausted, stressed, and unsure where to turn. Eileen has always been there for her family and friends—and now she is the one who needs help.
Through it all, they thank God for His grace in keeping them safe and trust that He will give them strength to get through this incredibly difficult time.
I am reaching out for my sister with a humble heart, praying that through the kindness and generosity of others, Eileen and her family can begin to rebuild their lives. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping cover the cleanup costs, temporary living expenses, and essential items lost in the fire.
Even if you cannot donate, you can still make a HUGE difference by SHARING this story widely—on social media, with friends and family, on news outlets, and on YouTube. The more people who hear about Eileen’s situation, the greater the chance she and her family will get the help they desperately need.
Thank you for helping Eileen and her family rebuild their lives. Please share their story far and wide.
God Bless you all
