Hi, I’m Eileen. On November 20, 2025, I’ll undergo surgery to remove my left kidney—a major, life-saving operation.
I’m incredibly grateful to finally have answers and a clear path forward, but the truth is: this journey has taken a serious financial toll during one of the hardest years of my life.
Because my care team is at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, this isn’t just about one surgery. I’ve already had seven surgeries this year trying to manage my kidney condition. There are still multiple trips leading up to this one—for tubal replacements, pre-op testing, and follow-ups related to a blood clot I developed.
Every visit means gas, food, and sometimes overnight stays for me and my family—and the costs add up fast.
At the same time, I’ve been deeply invested in trauma recovery and Complex PTSD treatment, which is essential for my long-term healing. Once I’m physically recovered, I’ll be able to return to completing a life-changing in-patient program that’s helping me rebuild from the inside out.

What Your Support Helps Cover:
• Medical expenses: surgery, prescriptions, follow-ups, and existing hospital bills
• Travel to Mayo Clinic: lodging, gas, and food for pre-op visits and blood clot monitoring
• Living expenses while I cannot work: mortgage, utilities, groceries, and essentials
• Home and pet care: creating a safe, clean environment for healing
• Len’s lost income: so he can drive me to appointments and care for me during recovery
• Ongoing therapy: mental health support during this incredibly difficult time
• Aftercare: follow-up appointments, supplies, and support for at least six weeks post-op
⸻
The fundraising goal is $46,000, which covers both the known and inevitable unexpected expenses from now through the end of the year.
This is not an easy ask. But the reality is, I can’t do this alone.
