I am Nurse Ihab Mahmoud Abu Shawish from Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the heart of the Gaza Strip, which is enduring relentless genocide by the Israeli occupation. I have lost my beloved brother, who was martyred in this brutal war, and my home has been reduced to rubble. Every day, we face unimaginable hardship — we have not tasted healthy food or drunk clean water for an entire year. Our children grow up in fear, hunger, and illness, while the sounds of bombing and destruction never leave our ears.

I work in a hospital for extremely low wages, and even those meager salaries come only once every three months. Yet, despite my role in caring for the sick and wounded, I am unable to provide my own family with the basic necessities of life. My children often sleep hungry, and my family’s health is deteriorating without proper food and medicine.

I plead from the depths of my heart — please, help me to provide food, medicine, and hope for my children and my family, who are struggling to survive in the midst of this relentless war. Your compassion can make the difference between despair and survival.
