Hi,

Last month, in the midst of a string of health problems of my own (nothing life-threatening but impossibly expensive), our tough rescue cat, Eggalina, developed aggressive mammary gland cancer. We rushed into surgery and she underwent a full successful mastectomy which left no cancer immediately found during her follow-up visit to get stitches out last week. Now she has to see the oncologist and get a prognosis for further treatment so she can live as happy and healthy a life as possible. We're worried and unsure what this will include but we're hemorrhaging money. Egga has recently had dental surgery and now with this surgery and with this new surgery and consultations we've spent 10,000 dollars already.

Unfortunately, I simply am not making very much money right now, but as the cancer is stage 3, we really want to do what we can to help our lovely, sweet and funny cat have as much time with us as possible. Egga is tough (she was a street cat) and is doing well. We were lucky getting her in for surgery so quickly, but I'm afraid she can't get what she needs without some help from you.

And so, I hate to ask, but I'm asking. I've chosen to do this rather than try to raise money for my own medical issues because her life depends on it.

Most of my friends are artists of some kind and have no money. I absolutely understand this and don't want anyone to go without anything on my account but if it's possible to contribute in any way, sharing, information or even just good thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.

Those of you who know me, know I went through medical issues with my beloved dog, Walter. Walter finally passed away suddenly after 15 beautiful years together. My friends were kind enough to help me then when I needed it, and, as a result of those kindnesses Walter almost never had a bad day in his entire life. He was never in pain or sidelined, right up until the end he had a great life. This is the result we're hoping for with Eggalina: Just to do the best we can for her.

Any money we receive will go to oncology and doctors' appointments as well as medicine if needed.
