Help Ege Heal: A Mother’s Will to Live and Return Home

Dear friends, loved ones, and soul family,

My name is Ege Demirkan, and I’m writing to you from Berlin, where I’ve been receiving intensive cancer treatment since March. This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt—and the most hopeful I’ve been in a long time.

As many of you know, I’ve been walking a healing path since being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer 6 years ago. I’ve poured my heart, soul, and every ounce of strength into healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And for the most part, I’ve been able to defy the odds. Doctors still tell me it’s astonishing that I am alive.

But earlier this year, things took a dramatic and frightening turn. My condition worsened unexpectedly. In late March, I came to Berlin to seek further treatment, surrounded by my family who have been my rock through it all. I chose a blend of conventional and alternative therapies, each chosen with great care to preserve my quality of life.

My healing journey began in 2019, when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2021, it metastasized into my bones. I was told it was Stage 4, incurable.

I refused to give up.

In early 2024, the cancer mutated into triple negative, one of the most aggressive forms with the poorest prognosis. The situation was life-threatening, and for a moment, I truly didn't know if I'd make it.

But something incredible started to happen.

Since April, I’ve been receiving ozone therapy, vitamin infusions, and targeted medication. Against all odds, my body began to respond. The cancer mutated from the most aggressive to a less aggressive type (HER2 positive). Lab results now show fewer malfunctioning cells. I am healing.

Now, I’m about to begin IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy)—a low-dose, targeted chemotherapy that offers promising results without the harsh damage of traditional treatment. But it’s expensive, and I can no longer carry the financial burden alone.

To date, my treatments have cost €38,000—everything I had, supported generously by my family. IPT and the final stages of my healing will require another €15,000.

My goal is:

To return to Australia by August

To be reunited with my beautiful 8-year-old daughter, Sahara

To live a full, healthy life

And to continue sharing my purpose—helping others heal

As a single mum, every moment away from Sahara is a heartache. She’s waiting for me. I want to be there for her first school concert, for her birthdays, for the everyday moments that matter most.

Many of you know how devoted I’ve been to my healing journey—not just for myself, but so I can guide others. If anyone can heal from this, it’s me. I know it in my soul. And if you know me, you know the strength, wisdom, and courage I carry. But right now, I need help.
