Help Eftihia in Her Fight Against Cancer
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are reaching out to you in support of someone very special to us — our friend, teacher, mentor, and musician, Eftihia Papageorgiou. For nearly 25 years, Eftihia has dedicated herself to sharing the gift of music with the Greek American community and as an Adjunct Professor at Wright College. She is also the founder of Odeion School of Music where she has inspired countless hearts and minds in the love of music.
Eftihia has touched our lives in so many ways — teaching our children the fundamentals of music, mentoring aspiring artists, and building a warm and vibrant community through her passion and dedication. Now, she needs our support.
In September 2024, Eftihia was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment — a journey filled with both challenging and hopeful days. Due to the physical toll of her treatment and a weakened immune system, Eftihia will not be able to teach at Odeion for the next several months. Like so many people facing serious illnesses, she is also coping with mounting medical bills and increased daily living expenses.
We are coming together — friends, family, students, parents, and colleagues — to rally around Eftihia during this difficult time. Any financial support you can provide will help ease the burden, allowing her to focus on her journey of healing and recovery.
No amount is too small, and every act of kindness will make a difference. Let’s show Eftihia the same love, generosity, and strength that she has shown us for so many years.
Please consider sharing this communication or the Go Fund Me link to help spread the word.
With gratitude for your support and compassion,
Cathy, Katerina, Hope, Natalia, Kanella and Cleo
