Effie is our loving cocker spaniel, who we have had for 6 years. After Effie lost her best friend, Fiyero, to kidney failure in January, Effie was diagnosed with a tumor on her jaw. 

The vet told us that the tumor will eat into the back of her jawbone and break it unless she gets surgery to remove the section of the jaw where the tumor is. She already has half the teeth she was born with due to two dental surgeries over the past two years as well.  We have been told that this is a rare tumor that acts like a cancer but isn't classified as one. So she’s a hot mess!

But, she is also the sweetest girl who only gives love and now needs some love in return. She is only 9 years old and we need help to pay for this necessary surgery. 

She has been seen at a specialist doggy dentist in Mill Valley and we have been given the approximate cost of this surgery and have already paid for her CT scans. The total we are asking for covers the CT scans and the surgery.

With this surgery, she could live another five years, easily. We just need to help her lose a few lbs now too.
