My partner Edwin and I are both disabled neurodivergent individuals with autism and ADHD. We've tried very hard to make our careers but have faced harsh discrimination from coworkers and the public for both our queerness and neurodivergence.

We are both artistic, creative people. Edwin is a painter and graphic designer, and I am a musician who makes electronic synthesizer music, but we can't pursue these passions because we're forced to work in situations that actively harm us.

In August I was fired from a stable job for having a nervous breakdown, which was filmed on surveillance video and used against me to justify my firing. Instead of offering to help me, they made me watch video of myself at one of my lowest points in order to humiliate and embarrass me. Due to this, I lost my only access to health insurance. The mental distress of this plunged me into a deep depression and I considered suicide many times.

Please consider helping us pull ourselves out of poverty, so we can begin the process of starting our lives over, moving to a state that will protect our rights, enable us to access medical care and find queer community.
