Hello, my name is Elliott Stripling.

Most of you know me, and if you don’t, well then hello!

For personal reasons, if you see Edward, don’t mention this fund, it is in his best interest. But he still needs help with resources, so let’s get to the goal!  

I graduated in 2010 from Douglas Anderson, and during the time I attended there, I rode the school bus with my good friend Edward Latimer. Eddie has a golden heart and a golden smile. He’s a musical genius and is a concert violinist. He’s an amazing friend, and his smile lights the room up. I found out today, February 13th, 2025, that his mom passed away some time back; I’m not sure when. And then after that, his house burnt down, leaving him with absolutely nothing. Edward became homeless, and with that came a lot more difficulties. I believe in God and always have. Today, I asked him about his faith, and he said he still believes. Then I told him with a lot of reassurance that I love him as a brother. Now it is time to do what brothers do, and I’ve started this for us, ALL of us, to get him back on his feet. God doesn’t want anyone to go forgotten or not helped. Eddie, Edward, is our friend, and truthfully, he is our family. We grew up laughing, going to the same school together, and hanging out together, and I know TONS of people that love him. It’s our time to do what is right and to start helping out where it makes the most impact. Think about being 85 years old and knowing you helped get Eddie back on his feet. Knowing you helped save someone’s life. You know what I fear most of all? That he feels like he’s forgotten and that he doesn’t matter. Because God knows he matters, and God knows there’s a reason I saw him today.

Eddie, my brother, we’re going to get you back on your feet if it takes everything we have. We love you, and we won’t let you stay in the same spot you’re in right now.

I ask everyone, if you see this, donate. Please. He needs us, in this dire time more than ever. He lost his truest companion, his mother, and it broke him. He needs our community, our compassion, and our love to rebuild him. We can do this; I know we can!
