My name is Edward. I'm 58 years old. Recently, I was in the hospital from complications of liver disease. I have non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, and at this point, a transplant is probably the only option.

While all this happened, I lost my job. I was on a contract-to-hire, and the contract ended while I was in the hospital. I filed for unemployment but have hit a snag. Meanwhile, my medical and non-medical bills are piling up. I'm currently recovering, but my long-term health and employment are in limbo.
