Edward is a bright, energetic 10-year-old with a huge heart. He adores being a big brother to Derek and Jaylani, and his favorite place to be is on the football field. But today, instead of chasing touchdowns, Edward is facing the toughest opponent of his life.
For months, Edward complained of aches and pains. Doctors assured the family they were normal growing pains and was referred to specialists. Then, one Monday afternoon after school, Edward’s mother noticed he was unusually swollen. She rushed him to the hospital, where tests showed his blood count was dangerously low. He was immediately transferred to El Paso Children’s hospital for a blood transfusion.
Further testing brought heartbreaking news—Edward has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In that moment, everything changed. Football games, school days with friends, and carefree childhood moments were replaced by hospital stays, treatments, and uncertainty.
Edward’s mother, Victoria, is a devoted single mom of three, working tirelessly to provide for her family. While insurance helps with some costs, it doesn’t cover everything. The financial strain of bills is overwhelming especially in such difficult time.
We are asking for your support—whether through a donation, sharing Edward’s story, or keeping this family in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of help brings Edward one step closer to winning this fight.
