Edui Tijerina ( Edui Jr. aka Little Rhino) was diagnosed with T- ALL (T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on January 4th. He went into surgery a couple of days ago and started his chemotherapy.
Edui Jr. is a smart, funny and silly 6-year-old kindergartner with a long life ahead of him. He loves Legos, video games, playing with his big sister, and Paw Patrol.
While his journey is very uncertain, one thing we know, Edui Jr is a fighter. He is a strong little man and will fight this through with the love and support from his whole family and friends.
His dad, Lt. Edui Tijerina, aka 'Rhino' Tijerina, works as part of the fire fighting team of Universal City, TX. He works hard and is very passionate about his work. His priority is helping his community day to day.
His mom, Alejandra Tijerina, works for the state of Texas helping families and children in need.
Both amazing parents who put their everything in everything they do including anything they do for their family, their friends and their community. Unfortunately, Edui and Ale are already facing the high expenses of the medical treatments of Edui Jr. and they need our help.
As Edui's uncle and godfather, my heart has been aching, so I can't imagine the range of emotions and thoughts they are facing.
Personally, I want to ask everyone that if you believe in a god, please pray for Edui Jr. and ask your God to help our little fighter. If you don't believe in a God, please send good vibes our way. Secondly, I know people want to help. I believe we can help relieve at least some of the burden by helping financially. Let’s come together and support them as they have supported all of us in the past, so they can focus on their family and Edui Jr. during this crisis.
We thank you in advance for whatever help you can give. It’s always hard, yet humbling to ask for help in times of need. We have a very hard long road ahead of us but all of us are staying positive that he will beat this cancer and live a very long and happy life. He is a strong little fighter and will get through this.
