From a very young age, Eduardo Hernández has shown incredible strength in the face of adversity. As my friend, I have witnessed his resilience through a lifetime of medical challenges, from childhood illnesses to emergency surgeries and chronic conditions. In 2018, Eduardo was diagnosed with chronic heart failure and a tumor with a poor prognosis, but he managed to pull through. In 2021, he faced leukemia, and after a long medical process, his cancer went into remission. Earlier this year, he overcame a dangerous blood clot in his heart.

Now, Eduardo faces his greatest challenge yet: a diagnosis of glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Despite his health struggles, Eduardo continues to work in construction to provide for his wife and their three-month-old baby. The physical, emotional, and financial burden on his family is overwhelming. Medical expenses, transportation, treatments, and basic needs are mounting, and the support of our community is more important than ever.
