In honor of Edris Decker, daughter, sister and most importantly Momma to 24 Year old Courteney (Garrett), 19 year old Christina and, 11 year old Marlyn. I have created this fundraiser to humbly ask for help, to help the girls with expenses for the funeral services and expenses they are going to incur while their Moms estate goes through probate. My name is Tonalea and I am Mom in law to Courteney Gifford, daughter of Edris Decker.

On the evening of July 30 Edris and Marlyn were just a mile or two from home when they met and were hit head on by a drunk driver driving a large truck travelling in the wrong direction in Edris’s lane. By the grace of God Marlyn escaped with minimal physical injuries, but it is going to take a long time and a lot of love to help her navigate the mental and emotional trauma she experienced. Edris unfortunately did not survive the impact, and was taken from her daughters, her family and this world way too soon. In her short 44 years Edris touched many lives, to know Edris was to know love, laughter and life. Her laugh was infectious, her smile contagious and she always, always has a smart-ass comment if you needed to hear it. She would move mountains for her children and she would give a stranger the shirt off her back if they needed it. Today and in the coming months these girls have SO many big things to navigate, big adult things that they shouldn’t have to navigate at their young ages. If your heart feels called donate to give these girls a little help/relief financially, I can assure you that in the future all three of these girls will pay it forward. Please pray for Courteney, Christina, and Marlyn as they learn to navigate grief and life without their beautiful Momma.
