Help Edna Recover after Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Theresa, and I am writing on behalf of my cousin, Edna Robidas.
Edna lived in Altadena, California and lost her home during the Eaton wildfire. Thankfully she was able to evacuate safely and is staying with friends. Edna also had renters insurance and has already been able to start the claims process. However, the insurance claim will not cover the full replacement cost of everything that she lost in the fire. Edna feels very fortunate to be safe and that she already has a furnished living situation lined up for the next year. Edna estimates that an additional $5000 would be personally helpful for her to start replacing things like clothes for work, a new sewing machine and crafting supplies that she had to leave behind, and eventually new furniture.
Edna also knows that so many people in her community are in more precarious positions than she is, and she has the desire to help her neighbors. Any donations she receives beyond $5000, she plans to redistribute to friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes or have been displaced. She would also like to contribute to other support funds for local businesses that made up the heart of the Altadena community and were lost in the fire.
Thank you so much for helping Edna rebuild and for helping her help her neighbors after the devastating loss of the community they called home.
