Help Edmund Continue His Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
This is Edmund. More than anything, he loves to cuddle. He also enjoys ripping boxes, looking out the window, sleeping, laying on boxes, laying in boxes, and being close to his humans. He loves other animals and he loves people. He loves to give and receive love. My heart is interlinked with his well-being and happiness.

In 2025, Edmund was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma and triaditis. Before his cancer diagnosis, he had lost interest in food, began hiding, and suffered two transient ischemic attacks. Thanks to an incredible oncology team and primary care vet, he’s now in remission and doing so much better. His original prognosis was two years — and at a more recent visit, the oncologist told me that five happy years with good quality of life is within the realm of possibility.

To keep him stable, he receives chlorambucil and prednisolone for his cancer, along with meds for triaditis (Pepcid as needed, Denamarin), B12 for anemia, Plavix to prevent further TIAs, and Zofran and metacolpraminde for nausea. The combination of conditions means he still needs occasional emergency care, and some visits have required overnight stays.

I’ve been using my savings to make sure he gets the best possible care. But the reality is hard:
    •    Oncology visits: $600–$1,200 every 4-6 weeks
    •    Emergency visits: $800–$4,000 each, often with higher deposit necessary
    •    My credit cards are maxed out
    •    I don’t qualify for CareCredit
    •    Specialty vets and the ER will not provide care without payment at the time of service

I’m proud to do everything in my power for him: he’s family, and I love him so much. But I’m reaching the point where I can’t keep up alone. I want to ensure that Edmund can continue receiving the care that is keeping him alive, happy, and knowing that he’s so very loved.

If you’re able to donate, it will go directly toward:
    •    His ongoing oncology visits and treatments
    •    His ongoing primary care visits and treatments
    •    Emergency visits when triaditis flares
    •    His medications for cancer, liver support, nausea, and stroke prevention.

His oncologist’s office (and ER) will accept donations directly to his account, if you prefer that. He’s the only Edmund in their clinic: Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers: (914) [phone redacted]. They’ll send a secure payment link after you offer a donation via phone to Edmund.

Edmund has fought so hard, and he’s still full of life, love, cuddles, chirps, and purrs. Any amount helps keep him comfortable and gives him the chance at the extra years his oncologist believes are possible.

Thank you so much for loving my bb boy
