It’s never easy to ask for help, but right now Edith and I truly need it.
If I have ever been fortunate enough to have you as a guest in my salon, you’ve met Edith—my sidekick, love of my life, and my beloved salon manager since 2020. She's a tiny girl but greets every client with her big personality, tail wags, and boundless love. Edith is the center of my world and is the most gentle spirit.
This past Sunday, Edith became very ill. She was rushed to the emergency vet on Stephenson Ave. after showing signs of severe gastrointestinal distress. The next day, she was seen again and diagnosed with a clostridium bacterial infection at Savannah Veterinary Medical Center. That same evening, her condition worsened—she was in obvious physical pain, crying out when given the gentlest touch. If you know Edith, you know she lives for love, pets and attention- it has been devastating to see her suffer in this way and heartbreaking that I have been unable to physical comfort her.
In just a few days, she’s been on four vet and ER visits, tests, and procedures to find out what’s causing her abdominal swelling, pain, and distress. She’s currently at Pet Urgent Care on Abercorn having an ultrasound and undergoing further diagnostics and we still do not have all of the answers. These last few days have been emotionally exhausting and financially draining.
I’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the mounting costs of Edith’s urgent medical care and ongoing treatment. Each test, visit, and treatment has added up quickly. I humbly thank every person for reading this and keeping Edith in your thoughts and for helping in any way you can. Every single dollar helps ease the financial stress, your support- whether through donations or simply sharing this page means the world to both of us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping Edith in your thoughts and for helping in any way you can. Your kindness and support means more than I can put into words. I hope to have Edith back home with me, healthy and happy again as soon as possible. I will keep everyone updated.
With love and gratitude,
Corrie and Edith
