Hi Friends!

We are planning a really neat field trip for our young people here, and we have managed to plan it with minimal costs. Yet, the costs are still a struggle for our families, so we are reaching out.

Team 3C, (Mr. Cormier’s 3rd grade class) has been studying Shakespeare with Westport’s own Ms. Diane Lowman. Once a month, she shares a play (on a level they can understand) and some very deep and fantastic discussions ensue.

After 7 years, we have finally found the next level to our program! Staples High School’s Drama Department/Theater Department studies Shakespeare in the spring. What a coincidence!!! Miss Diane and Mr. David Roth of Staples thought up the idea of bringing Team 3C to Staples High School on April 4th to spend the morning with the Theater students in Mr. Roth's Drama classes. The students have put together some scenes from Macbeth, one of the plays that Team 3C had the opportunity to read, discuss and connect to with.

Our costs for this trip is one bus and pizza for Team 3C and the Players, however, we would like to set up a fund to be ready for the next 1-2 connections!
