Hi, my name is Iris, and I am Edi’s sister-in-law.
I am writing this because someone we love is fighting for his life, and we are at a point where we cannot do this alone anymore.
Edi has been diagnosed with colon cancer that has spread to his liver. He has already gone through a major surgery to remove the cancer from his colon, and he is now undergoing chemotherapy as he continues fighting the metastases in his liver.
He is going through repeated chemotherapy cycles, each lasting several days, followed by short periods of recovery before the next one begins. These days take a lot from him, physically and emotionally, but he keeps going, because he wants to live, and he wants to be there for his family.
The goal is simple, but everything depends on it: to get him strong enough for liver surgery and give him a real chance to recover.
Edi is not just someone facing an illness. He is a devoted husband to my sister Anisa and a loving father to their two children, 12 and 10 years old. His family is his whole world. He has always been the one who carried everything on his shoulders, the one who made sure everyone else was okay.
Now, everything has changed.
Watching him go through this is something no family is ever prepared for. There are moments of hope, but also moments of fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty. And while he continues to fight with strength and dignity, the reality is that this journey is becoming overwhelming for the whole family.
We are trying to cover:
- Ongoing chemotherapy and Immunotherpy cycles and critical medical treatments
- Liver surgery and the recovery period
- Medications, hospital care, and essential living costs while Edi cannot work
Each chemotherapy and immunotherapy session, each hospital visit, each small step forward comes with a cost. And right now, it is simply more than the family can manage alone.
Edi would never ask for help himself. That’s who he is. But as his family, we cannot stay silent while he is fighting this battle.
Because this is not just about treatment, it’s about giving two children their father, giving Anisa her partner, and giving Edi the chance to keep living the life he fought so hard to build.
If you can support in any way, even a small amount, it truly makes a difference.
And if you cannot donate, sharing this page could help us reach someone who can.
Right now, we are not asking for everything, just for a chance.
A chance for Edi to keep fighting.
A chance for his children to keep their father.
Thank you for standing with Edi and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Iris
