Hello friends, family, and even strangers my name is Edgar Gonzalez. It comes with heavy heavy heart to say that my father has passed away, but before I get into the story on how he left this world and joined god let me tell you about him and his life. His name is Edgar Anival Gonzalez Ramos born march 3rd, 1971 in Guatemala and was raised there, he eventually came over to the USA and acquired his green card to become a resident. He lived in Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Iowa to name a few but he spend most of his time in Sioux City Iowa. He met my mom (melody Ann Sargent) in 1997 spent 2 years with her and then decided to have me in 1999. My younger brother Jordon angel gonzalez Ramos was born on November 26th, 2000. they then got married on April 20th 2002. From there they had my second youngest brother Sergio Arnufol Gonzalez Ramos born on December 13th, 2003. My dad wanted a daughter so they tried for a girl in 2010 but my mom ended up having a miscarriage. My dad was so determined to have a girl so they tried one last time and my youngest brother was born February 27, 2011. My dad always wanted a girl but instead he got blessed with 4 boys. He would always tell us that we were a headache but we knew that he loved us no matter what. No matter what happened or how tough his was life he would always make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. My dad Edgar was the type of guy to always wanted to have a good time no matter how tough the situation was. He always went above and beyond for family and friends . He loved to blast his music, go to the park and play soccer or catch, he loved to go for walks down at the river front, he loved our dog gucci, he was a man of god and he praised that man in every situation. He loved eagles and he had a big collection of them. He also loved cars and motorcycles, he loved shopping at flea markets and goodwills, he loved cook outs, his favorite holidays were Christmas and the 4th of July, his favorite foods were caldo de pollo or caldo de res (chicken or beef soup)….. my dads life ended after he acquired an infection in his liver. That infection proceeded to make his kidneys fail, and slowly made his body shut down. He passed away in his sleep surrounded by his family on december 27th, 2024 at 2:46pm in Omaha Nebraska at the age of 53. My dads final wish is that he wants to be sent back to Guatemala and be buried next to his dad and sister. We’re trying to raise money to send him back to his hometown so that he can finally rest next to the ones that join him in heaven also we’re raising money for tickets down to Guatemala to be next to my dad when he’s laid to rest
