After a year and a half of hard work, numerous shoots, hundreds of feet of footage, and a LOT of money – I have wrapped my film, “Upon the Railroad Earth.” However, that doesn’t mean the process is over. I am currently preparing "Railroad Earth" for the 2025/26 film festival circuit so it can actually be screened for an audience. In order to do this, I must clear the music rights for the songs used – thankfully, these have been negotiated with the various labels, publishers, and all of that frustrating stuff; so that’s why I must ask for support in the final hour of this film’s journey from writing to screening.

Now I didn’t crowd fund to get my project started; instead, I financed it through selling various personal possessions and working… a lot. However, it is this final push for, “finishing money,” that I find myself with my back to the wall. I loathe this route of crowdfunding, as I understand it may be an inconvenience, (as well as a nuisance,) to be solicited for money. I don’t like asking people for things, financial or otherwise – if you know me, you know this is occasionally, (mostly,) to my detriment, but this time is different. I believe too passionately in this highly personal film to let it flitter away without attempting to raise the funds to acquire the music rights and submit it far and wide. My goal is to submit to various noteworthy festivals, including but not limited to:

Telluride Film Festival

Sundance Film Festival

New York Film Festival

Chicago International Film Festival

San Francisco International Film Festival

Ann Arbor Film Festival

and the Philadelphia Film Festival - to name a few.
