Help Eden's Family Navigate Life After Loss

I am a refugee and immigrant social services worker. I worked closely with a beautiful Karen national family of four who arrived on May 25, 2023, from Burma as refugees and settled in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The family members are Saw Eden (38 years old), the head of the household; Naw Joe Jo Htoo (37 years old), the wife; Naw Eh Kalo Htoo (7 years old), the daughter; and Sa Blesses Htoo (3 years old), the son.

Their daughter underwent a liver transplant on September 13, 2023, and has been doing well since then. Naw Eh Kalo Htoo started school and has opportunities to happily meet other kids. Eden began working on February 7, 2024. However, Eden left his wife and two children. Suddenly, when Eden was sleeping yesterday and did not wake up, the medical team rushed to his apartment, but it was too late. His breathing had stopped, and he passed away in the morning on May 21, 2024.

The family is in a very desperate situation. To cope with their new life in this country, Naw Joe Jo Htoo and her children will go through hardships and need our support at all costs. Funeral expense alone is $7,114.00, and other cost as well, we are here to raise $25,000.00 for the family.
