Help Eden Cheer in Rome's New Year Parade!

Hi, my name is Eden Powell and I’m a sophomore at Palma School. I’m proud to say this is my second year on varsity cheer and our program is only in its second year.

This summer, I had the honor of attending USA Cheer Camp at UC Santa Cruz—Palma’s first time ever going! While at camp, over 150 cheerleaders tried out for All American Cheer and I was one of the few selected as a USA All-American Cheerleader. I was also awarded the Pin It Forward award by our teams’ USA staffer, Alex, for my leadership, spirit, and teamwork.

As part of All-American, I’ve been invited to perform in the New Year’s Day Parade in Rome, Italy alongside top cheerleaders from across the country. This is an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent my school, my community, and the USA on an international stage. To be able be in Rome during the closing of the Jubilee is an exceptional honor!

I am from Salinas, California and dancing has been the biggest part of my life for the past 11 years, and now cheer has become a way for me to combine my love of performance, leadership, and athleticism on a whole new level. Getting to perform in Rome would be the biggest stage I’ve ever been on—and something I would have never dreamed of before.

However, the cost of the trip is $5,295, and I’m working hard to fundraise the full amount. This covers travel, accommodations, training, and parade participation. I would be so grateful for any support you can give—whether that’s donating, sharing this page, or just cheering me on from afar!
