One of my closest friends from high school, Eden Chadwick, was suddenly given a medical diagnosis that will be life changing and will affect the rest of her life.

Eden will be 24 years old next week and has such a long life ahead of her. She is such a caring person and has such a big heart. Even with everything she is going through she remains positive and is thankful for the people reaching out with love. 

Unexpectedly last week Eden became feeling “off”. She stopped being able to use her words and completing sentences. She was dizzy and loosing balance. Eden knew something was wrong and went to seek medical attention. With aMRI that came back showing lesions in her brain they then transported her to Portland Hospital.

At OHSU hospital doctors unexpectedly told Eden she had Multiple Sclerosis. An incurable disease that causes her immune system to attack her nervous system. They don’t know how long this has been affecting her but there is spinal and brain nerve damage that will forever remain with her. 

With Edens disability she will not be able to work. She will be attending physical therapy and there is treatment available to help her speech and mobility. This is where she will need our support to afford these new necessaries.
