Hi, My name is Dianne and I a helping Eddy and Benedicte raise funds to help rebuild their Sunset Bar Restaurant in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. Their restaurant, and livelihood, were totally destroyed in a devasting fire on January 4, 2024. The fire was said to have started from a gas explosion near their restaurant and all the wonderful beach restaurants that were part of Village Fisherman were burned to the ground.

Eddy and Benedicte worked hard to build their business and restaurant and to lose everything in a matter of minutes is unimaginable. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting them and going to Sunset Bar for a drink or meal, you know how much love and hard work they put into their business. It was a beautiful spot and they are determined to rebuild and start welcoming everyone into the Sunset Bar again. They obviously have to start from scratch and it is not going to be easy.
