Hello my name is Eddiesha and I have been diagnosed with ALS. ALS is a disease of the muscles which breaks down and deteriorates the muscles in your body, therefore it makes you disabled and unable to function by enabling your everyday activities. I have been living with this disease for the past 4 years and have been bedridden ever since. I'm starting this fundraiser to help me have a way of life again. I'm in need of a medical van equipped to have access for an electric wheelchair so that I may be able to enjoy life again. I want to be able to go to my grandchildren games, church, maybe a drive-in movie, a concert here and there, and just to be able to get out of the house and out of the bed. To be with family again at a barbecue, to be outside and have the sunshine on my face again, to be able to see the children playing outside and to be able to see my grandchildren playing outside would be a blessing. I understand that we are currently in a pandemic but just being able to take a ride somewhere would be nice. Being able to get outside would give me a piece of mind that beats looking at the four walls in my house. I strongly believe no one should have to spend their last days laying on their back side in a bed. I don't feel that is a quality of life.
