Eddie Mcgaurn -Owner of The Soup Bar in Palmyra NJ has been a giver and generous man from the moment he opened the doors to the best little place in town - he quickly gained our trust and word of mouth and was packed with customers daily, the success was short though when covid came to town. Lockdown came and businesses closed. He didn’t quit though - he turned the Resturant into a drop off center location for can goods and other food items for the neighborhood. Delivered himself. He still made his famous soups and fed the seniors, he fed our neighborhood children soup and grilled cheeses when school was closed and they could not get a hot lunch. Gave without hesitation. He struggled with take out to stay a float and county fairs etc. to keep this Palmyra treasure open. He loves this and surrounding communities. He never quit. Then Covid hit Eddie himself and the real battle began. He has been in ICU for weeks on oxygen, fighting to recover and the business is closed. He wants to get out and open because he’s afraid he won’t be able to hold on to it. Being self employed is not easy. Rent, mortgage, utilities etc continue to mount. Lost food at the restaurant. Most of all no income! He needs our help. Let’s show him community support and raise funds for his bills he can’t pay while battling because he can’t earn a living. When he defeats this he will reopen and will need funds to regroup. He has given without question time and time again. Let’s show him support now that he himself is in need. Please help. Every bit counts. We all know he’ll give back once he’s able but right now he needs to concentrate on getting well not paying his current and continuing debt. Aside from the donation he could use a prayer. Thank you. Please share with your friends
